Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends Animal Society For more than two decades, Best Friends Animal Society has been dedicated to the simple philosophy that kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.

The sanctuary at Angel Canyon, at the heart of the Golden Circle of national parks in southern Utah, is home on any given day to about 2,000 dogs, cats, and other animals, who come from shelters and rescue groups around the country for the special care they can only receive at Best Friends. The sanctuary is also a destination for 30,000 visitors and volunteers each year.

Stray Hearts Animal Shelter

Stray Hearts Animal Shelter of Taos Provides humane care and shelter for abandoned and abused companion animals in the Taos area. Our policies follow the national definition of "No-Kill" which ensures rehabilitation and placement for all treatable and adoptable companion animals. All animals leaving the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter have complete immunizations, are spayed/neutered or scheduled for alteration, licensed and micro-chipped. Stray Hearts also provides educational programs to volunteers, schools and the community at large.

Petroglyphs

P e t r o g l y p h s is an award-winning publication focused on community education for animal welfare. Our gratitude goes to all our advertisers and writers for their contributions and support which make this publication possible. We would also like to extend an invitation to those wishing to submit stories, article ideas, poetry, notices of events, photographs, artwork, etc., that would enhance the purpose of this publication.

Animal Rescue

The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need — providing food for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the U.S. every year. Over 10 million animals are put to death every year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.

Each click on the purple "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food and care for a rescued animal living in a shelter or sanctuary. Funding for food and care is paid by site sponsors and distributed to animals in need at The Fund for Animals' renowned animal sanctuaries (including Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Texas and The Fund for Animals Wildlife Center in Southern California), pet shelters supported by the Petfinder Foundation, North Shore Animal League, and other worthy animal care facilities supported by the GreaterGood.org foundation.

100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to our charitable partners.
