| Are
you happy with your current New Mexico boarding kennel or
pet sitter? Is the place where your best friend is staying
attended 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by competent and
trained professionals? Will your dog get plenty of healthy
exercise and actually ENJOY his time away from home? If the
answer is "No" to any of these questions than you
should pay us a visit! We offer a very unique facility for
dogs, 125 acres of K9 fun (just ask any of our recent visitors!).
Your best friend can chase rabbits, climb rocks, swim, play
with new friends, or just bask in the sun(or shade!)...Whatever
makes them happy, that's what Taos Dog Camp is all about!

Our
night time facilities include secure chain link enclosures
that are approximately 10' x 20' outside with doggie doors
so they can come and go freely. We've just
recently added a large yard area with
grass and trees for the dogs to play freely in while not
out hiking. The inside is a cozy,
warm, and inviting
environment
where they'll feel at home and will always have someone
sleeping with them. We find that by having 24/7 human
companionship
most dogs
will not go through separation anxiety that is commonly
experienced in a traditional kennel. We also supply comfy
dog beds(you can always bring your own if you'd rather).
|
| Every
evening all campers receive a thorough brushing, followed
by a relaxing massage before bedtime. Before going home your
Best Friend will also receive a bath and nail trimming (if
needed), and it's on us (with at least 3 night stay).
Campers
can also participate in nightly "Doggie" Yoga classes,
dogs find it very relaxing after a long hike and swim!

Your
"best friend" will be are cared for in the same
manner as our own (which means they'll be VERY pampered
and spoiled!). You should bring your dogs own diet to avoid
any problems due to dietary change. Medications can be administered
if needed (including injections), diabetic dogs are welcome!
Campers go on 3-4 hikes a day(weather permitting), as soon
as your dog acclimates and responds to basic training commands(come,
sit, heal, etc...)they'll be romping and playing in small
groups of similar minded dogs. If you're concerned about
them running off, they can still take hikes on 16 ft Flexi
leads. Rest assured, your dog will get plenty of exercise
and be safe and happy! If
you would like your dog to have obedience or agility training
while you're away, it's available (please inquire about
our rates). Once you return from your trip we'll work with
you and your dog together, the owner's training is just
as important (if not more!)than the dogs!
